Monday July 14th we drove to Fort Meade, Maryland where we visited with Linda and Galen Elliott (daughter and son in law of Madge we met Madge and Jana and Rodney Alsop). Here, by Alsop, Luann and Jeanine Hedin who just came in from a visit to Don Alsop in North Carolina. Tuesday and Wednesday we toured Capitol Building, White House, Washington monument, Lincoln memorial, Arlington cemetery Annapolis (state house) Naval Academy, and other historical spots. We visited with Senator Wallace F. Bennett, and the offices of Representative Lloyd and Burton. We toured Mount Vernon estates, Virginia Natural Bridge, ( one of seven wonders of the world), Fredrlcks-bur- g, Waynesboro, Roanoke and Lexington. There is no objection to protestors, but protests should be made at the right time and place, but violence, destruction of property endangering of life cannot be tolerated.
