Also, recognize the great need for upgrading the public image of the peace officers who daily rish their lives while enforcing the law and endeavoring to keep the peace. Certainly when a united citizenry realize their full responsibility and become more conscious of the necessity for daily law observance the slaughter on our highways will decline, suicides, homicides, crime, violence, and delinquency and vandelism will be reduced to a marked degree. Law observance is in the hands of the parents who are so near to youth and influencing their lives daily. Law observance is in the hands of school faculties, Youth and adults the teacher, and the principle. are sensitive to their environment. Good examples set the basic pattern for study in the learning process. Kindness, persuasion and reasoning with a lot of helpfulness can work miracles in the lives of young people. Character is developed by what is seen, heard, felt and understood. There is no royal road to successful citizenship except through the trial and error process, but much of the error can be eliminated when good communication is available in homes, neighborhoods, schools and communities. It will be a great day, and a joyful experience when we join hands across the borders of our homes, schools, cities, state and nation in a united effort to observe the law and keep the peace.
