GRANITE PARK WARD James Yeiter, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Yeiter left Salt Lake Friday, March 28th for the Marine Corps at San Diego, California for basic training. He enlisted for four years. James 19 the 2nd son to leave for the service. His brother Steven is now serving in Viet Nam with the Marines. The elite group have been participating in the national H lead- Thomas Monson 4-- ership program for several year and many of them have attended special leader training workshops set up by the Cooperative Extension Service. Miss Nelson has conducted several of these ses- sions. Youngsters coached in leadership serve as officers in H Clubs and councils, organize new at clubs and teach techniques at workshops. Combine milk, water and Fleischmann's Margarine in a saucepan. Heat over low heat until liquids are warm. (Margarine does not need to melt.) Gradually add to dry ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally. Add egg and Vi cup flour, or enough flour to make a thick batter. Beat at high speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in currants, raisins, candied cherries, citron and enough additional flour to make a soft dough. Turn out onto lightly floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top. Cover; let rise in warm place, free from draft, until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour. Punch dough down; turn out on lightly floured board. Divide in half. Divide each half into 12 round cake pans.
