The vacancy was created by the resignation of Dr. Burton F. Brasher who was called to active duty with the Utah National Guard. Mr. Acord is a former board member having served from 1951 to 1957. He was defeated by Dr. Erasher ill 1957. He will represent the Kearns, Granger, Hunter, Taylorsville and Chesterfield areas.
