Naval Aviation Cadet Richard J. Panter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard D. Panter of 4944 S. 4860 West, completed the flight, a major stride toward winning coveted naval aviator Wings of Gold, in a Beech Mentor trainer. , Cadet Panter entered the Navy in January 1961. Stock of 2872 Momingside Dr., Salt Lake City, completed the general office procedures course, June 28j at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S. C. The four-wee- k course, mendous success. Progress was fast and by 1911 there were many outstanding racing cars. Some of these are the Mercer Raceabout, which cruised at 60 m.p.h. without effort and had a top speed of 75 m.p.h. It had a heritage of racing success unequalled in its time. In 80 major, races, this car finished not lower than third 65 times. We also had the Mercedes Benz 1913 top speed 94 m.p.h., Stutz Bearcat 1914 top speed 95 m.ph. It is interesting to note the world speed record in 1910 was 131 m.ph. Since that time this record has been new 3 in 1 dragster kit. This kit features two complete dragsters, one Fiat coupe, one twin engine dragster. Also included is one Chrysler and two Chevy engines.
