The first annual Farmers En- campment to be conducted by the Utah Agricultural College will be held on the College Campus for four days beginning August 2, according to Dr. R- - J. Evans, Director of the Extension Division of the College. Many committees are already at work arranging definite plans for program. housiDg and entertainment. Nationally known leaders in agriculture are expected to be in attendance to convey to the farmers and their wives latest information regarding scientific production, marketing of crops, home beautification, etc. The farmers, together with their families will come to Logan in cars and camp on the College Campus, where accommodations for camping will be arranged. Trained nurses will be engaged to take care of the children so that the parents can give their entire time to the pro- gram. Various profitable trips will be made into different parts of Cache County and neighboring valleys. One will be made to inspect and study irrigation and drainage projects, another will be made to a number of well managed dairy farms, and a third to fruit farms and orchards. These trips will acthe farmer with methods quaint pursued by men who are especially successful in the different branches of agriculture. The encampment, says Dr. Evans, will enable the farmers to combine a brief summer vacation with highly, valuable educational - , work. , ...
