Farm Bureau Movement The 19221 membership campaign cfltheTfarm bureau, organization has been launched in this state. Under direction of 0. E. Wolcott, organizer for the American Bureau Federation, the drive Farm was opened in Cache County recently and it will eventually spread to every eounty in Utah, the present about two plans contemplating months in which to complete the na-tion- al campaign. Enthusiasm of both officers and members of the community locals has marked the campaign from the start in the northern county. Eighty per cent, or 1,760 of Cache Countys 2,200 farmers, is the goal set by the county officers for the 1922 membership campaign. This, it is believed, will set a pace for the other counties of the state with prospects that several will exceed Cache County has that showing. one been of the strongest always farm bureau counties with a total membership in 1920 close to the top of the state list. The enthusiasm displayed at the directors''' meeting convinces me that Cache County farmers are thoroughly alive to the necessity of farm organization, said Mr. Wolcott following his return to state headquarters in Salt Lake City. Taxation and transportation rates are two of the questions of greatest concern to Utah farmers and I found in Cache County an intimate understanding of what the American Farm Bureau Federation is doing in a nationwide way to bring about relief for the farmers.
