FLOWER PHILOSOPHY By Anna Marie Brown" A regal rose gracefully lifted her queenly head And exclaimed to passing lovers who planned to wed, Come, tarry awhile and accept timely advice. My beauty can counsel as well as entice. Happiness youll find if true love you possess And nurture as required with attentive kindness. Smiles scatter storm clouds that drift into view And catch the dancing sunbeams As I sip the morning dew. Thorn-lik- e experience youll need for spiritual growth. Imparting wisdom and understanding to you both. Careful cultivation of varied interests and friends Will tend to insure the contentment life lends. Youll thrive on praise that bolsters the spirit, when low. Bringing bloom I boast of to cheeks you cherish so. If love youd have linger as my perfume rare Keep faith in each other, despite worldly care. Your romance will flourish if affection you bestow It creates a light divine that casts a rosy glow." In parting, the beauteous blossom cried, Be wise! Weed out words destructive to a peaceful paradise.
