PAGE COlRlEl CITY ELECTRIC LIGHT SYSTEM TO PRODUCE $25,000 REVENUE IN 1945 We find it rather hard to understand why our opponents, who offer to give Hjrum City a good business administration would make such an untrue statement regarding the revenue derived from our city light plant th. that there lias been a serious loss 111 revenue during the Republican administration. Our opponents agree that we have a fine Cemetery. AVe appreciate their interest in this worthy project. AAe believe nyruni citizens will bo glad to loam that we have collected 84,530.00 from people OUTSIDE of ITjnim, to help pay for the beautification of our cemetery. As beautiful as the Cemetery is now, we still have plans for Improving and beautifying it. SEWER AAe favor the installation of a sewer. AVe understand however that a sewer sjstem would not be installed unless the citizens of Hyrum voted in a special election for such a project. The election would follow mass meetings in which the system and method of payment would be properly explained by competent engineers. A sewer system would serve S purposes: (1) Take rare of sew age. (2) Drain onr basements. (3) Drain water away from all water logged lots and streets In case a sewer sjstem is not approved by the citizens, we pledge ourselves to properly drain wet streets and lots that are unsightly and unhealthfnl. The cost will not he prohibitive.. AVe hesitate to create new drainage districts utnil the question of a Sewer is decided. A Sewer system might help eliminate the dread disease of Infantile Paralj-sls- .
