LADY DIES visited the El.ason Death home early Wednesday morning and took one of Hyrums lovely mothers to her eternal rest. She is Mrs. Mary Lovina Ella-so- n. 65, widow of R. A Eliason. Mrs. Eliason had visited in Mai ad for a few days and also with her daughter, Mrs. Ila Pulsipher in Avon. She .returned to her home Sunday feeilng in the best of health. Near 7 p. m. a stroke paralyzed her, affecting her speech as well as her body. Since Monday she has remained in a coma not seeming to know members of her family who had rushed to her bedside. She lived only until the early hours of Wednes day. Mrs. Eliason was born in Hyrum on November 2, 1879, a daughter of Christen Jensen and Mary Israelsen Jensen. She lived in Hyrum her entire life. She married Richard Eliason on January 25, 1899 in the Loan temple. He passed away seven years ago. She has ben active in the church, serving many years as a teacher in the Relief Society. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. She is the mother of six child ren, all living. They are Mrs. Ila Pulsipher of Avon, Mrs. Mary Walters of Cedar City, Mrs. Verna Sadowy of Ogden, Basil 'Eliason of Wellsville, Melvin Eliason of Salt Lake City, and DeWayne Eliason of Hyrum. There aro also 21 grandchildand ren, one the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Jennie Albretsen of Malad, Idaho, Melva Whittaker of Brigham City, Ruby Sturgeon of Altadena, Calif., Ioda Sellstrom of Yreka, Calif., James C. Jensen, and Einar Jen sen of Hyrum. He has been 2 in the army for 3 years and overseas for the past 19 months. He has been awarded five battle stars, the Purple Heart, the ETO and Coast Guard ribbon. He has been in combat in France, Belgium, and Germany. His worst experiences were fighting in the Belgium Bulge and in crossing the Ruhr and Rhine rivers. Pvt. Darrell Nielsen ' Pvt. Darrell Nielsen of HyMr. rum is the third son see to Nielsen Morris Mrs. and overseas duty. He entered the army on December 12, 1944 and was sent overseas on May 1 of this year. Upon arriving in the Philippine Islands he was sent Immediately into combat duty .with the Infantry. He' has been fighting for several months in the mountains of Luzon where the weather is cold, the Japs treacherous, and hardships plenty.
