Suests :n on EE GUN SHOT FATAL TO LOCAL YOUTH HYRUMS OLDEST RESIDENT PASSES AWAY Injuries suffered Saturday after- noon when a .22 calibre rifle pierced his abdomen proved fatal to Nielsen, 12 year old son of Mr. Al-vo- id and Mrs. Marvin Nielsen. The boy died Sunday at 4 p.m. about 26 hours in a Logan hospital, following the mishap, which occur-e- d Saturday when he and some of his friends were Eastering in the fields east of Hyrum. Mr. Clawson rushed him to the hospital after calling for the boys father and mother. Alvoid was born in Hyrum August 29, 1929, a son of Melba Sparks and G. Mervin Nielsen. He was in the seventh of the Lincoln school. It was only this winter that he had been set apart as a deacon and he was very proud of his priesthood. Prior to the last month, Mrs. Larsen had enjoyed remarkable health all her life. She has been cared for by her two daughters, Mrs. Doris Crookston and Mrs. Annie Hall. In 1896 she married Mr. L. K. Larsen in the Salt Lake Endowment House Her husband passed away 13 years ago. While she has never been a public woman, her life has been usefull in doing good wherever she went. She was quite and reserved but her life was a shining example to everyone. Israelsen announced the marriage of her daughter, Afton, to Mr. Willy Albrecht, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Albrecht, of Nibley, Wednesday April 8, in the Logan L. D. S. Temple. Miss Israelsen is a graduate of the South Cache High school and has been very active in different church organizations. She is also a member of the Hyrum Stake Primary Board. Mr. Albrecht is a graduate of the South Cache High school and recently returned from a mission in the Northern States. He is employed in Ogden at the present time. Mrs. Z. W. Israelsen presided at a trousseau tea at the home of Mrs. John Allen in honor of her daughter, Afton, Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. The bride was beautiful in a white satin formal gown, she wore a corsage of red rose buds. In the receiving line were the bride, Mrs. Israelsen and Mrs. Albrecht, Mrs. Claris Chugg and Miss Cosette Smith had charge of the gift room. Mrs. James L. McBride and Evelyn Allbrecht supervised in the trousseau room. Miss Virginia Snow had charge of the guest book. The serving was under the direction of Mrs. Charles Perry and Mrs. Ward Israelsen, who were assisted by Flora Maughan, Betty Nielsen and LaVon Perry. The serving table was. covered with a cream colored lace cloth over yellow satin with a beautiful white and yellow wedding cake, which had been decorated by Mrs. Ether Nielsen.
