Miss Kidman entered South Cache and was a , member of the Junior class at the time of her death.' The young people were outstanding students in social activities at South Cache and seminary as well. Interested in the field of religion the youths cintributed of their time and talent in Sunday school work and c Pet-ersbo- rc MIA work. . survived by his parents a grandfather, Jens C. Anderson of Hyrum; the folowing brothers and sisters Eugene Gibbs, with a construction company in Oregon! Milton, LaGrande, Gail, Loa Lou, Elsie Ross, Val Roy. Cora Jane, and La-RGibbs all of Hyrum. Surviving Miss Kidman besides her parents are the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Gene Jones of WelWilie-- , Mrs.- - Don --Harris-of Tre mcnlon, Elaine, Donald and Leland K'dman of Petersboro, ad a grandfather, A. T. Collister of Cornish. Place of Accident The accident occured at 5 p.m. on one mile west of Paul, Idaho, highway No 5. According to reports made, the occupants of the car had been following a triick driven by for some LeRoy Reedy of Burley, distance, when the driver decided to turn off the highway. As he slowed down it is thought that Mr. Olsen failed to see the signal and crashed into the rear of the truck, killing Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs instantly. Their cheerful disposition and fine personalities will live long in the lives of the students The End of a Perfect Day was played by Mrs. Vinnie Clawson. Con eluding the speakers were! Bishop Hancock of Mendon and Bishop Larson of the second ward. The former was happy to see the Sunday school class present of which Fr eda was teacher. He also mentioned the sorrow hovering over Mendon because of the death of this couple. Bishop Larson was deeply pleased for the many wonderful floral offerings, which expressed love sympathy and devotion for the departed ones. In behalf of the families he thanked all who were presnt for their contributions. Prayers were offered by Albin Clawson of Hyrum and L. K. Wood of The flowers at the chap-s- i Mendon. were arranged by Eva Allen and Arlene Larsen. Pall bearers were relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Gibbs. Following the services the remains were taken to the Logan cemetery where the graves were dedicated by former bishop Henry Sorensen of Mendon. PROFESSOR Second Ward To Sponsor Interesting MIA Program Wednsday evening, November 5tli the Lions club held their regular meeting at the South Cache Cafeteria. The meeting was under the direction of President F.J. Carlson. Singing of America directed by W. S. Bailey, Flag Salute led by Elton Olsen, Invocation by J1. W. Wright Jr. The following guests were introduced: Professor Evan B. Murray by Leo C. Nielsen, Charles Shepherd and Ray Cannon by Pres. F.J. Carlson and David Davis by L.IV Morrell. During the serving of a delicious dinner, served by Miss Hendry, the rollcall showed 28 members present. Community singing was enjoyed by all, under the direction of W.S. Bail- A program on the life and musical compositions of Jan Sibelius will be given in the second ward MIA assembly program. The music of this great Finnish composer is full of the ey. Gun Accident Fatal Golden Obray died Sunday at Paradise as a result of a discharged gun carried by a younger brother while hunting pheasants west of Paradise along the foot hills. The body was taken to the Thompson Funeral Home, where it was prepared for burial Thursday at p.m. Mr. Obray is the son of Mr. and Signed Mrs. William G. Obray. Born at John W. Prof Stark is an expert photographer and has traveled all over the nation obtaining typical picture scenes for this lecture. He is connected with the state committee for beautifying the state for the 1947 exposition. All adults of the community should make it a point to hear and see this special offering. Especially should our church and civic leaders try to be in attendance. Grant B. Jenkins, national winner of the contest for Trombones will be with us to perform. Bailey, Principal PARADISE RESIDENT PASSES Bishop Ernest Obray conducted the services held Monday at I p.m. in the Paradise ward chapel over the remains of J.O. Tams. Mr. Tams had been an active church worker throughout his life, filling respons ble positions in the various quor urns. At the time of his death he was a member of the High Priest quorum. After an illnes of seven months he passed away at the age of 70. Surviving are his wife and two sons and six grand children. The people of Hyrum sincerely appreciate the efforts of Miss Petersen and her group in bringing to us this enjoyable musical program.
