This herd nolds the record of being the highest producers in Utah Israelsen, 'who is manager of the Gem Jersey Farm of this city,' has a splendid herd of Registered Jerseys, he sees the wisdom of introducing some new blood, and accordingly succeeded in purchasing from the Smoot and Winder herd five of their best registered heifers all from cows with, a Register of Merrit, production record, and sired by a grandson of the worlds cham pion long distance cow, Sophie 19, of Hood Farm. These heifers will all be tested and entered in the Register of Merrit when they freshen. We congratulate Mr. Israelsen on his choice selection of registered stock for the improvement of his herd, which is commendable, ai d he is deserving of continued success. The education of the younger generation has from the very beginning of the states history been a paramount consideration with the people.
