Show a f'H outh VOL. Till. Red Cross Ball Big Success The Hyrum Chapter has been doing very active work under .the leadership of Mrs. Dr. Cutler. As the chapter had run somewhat in debt for the purchase Of supplies, the ladies conceived a scheme of a friendly basket ball game between the business men of Hyrum and Wellsville, as a means of raising funds, the game to be followed by a dance. Wellsville very generously responded and came up in force to the game which was pulled off Wednesday night at the Elite Hall, after which a dance was also given. Between the game the large crowd present were favored with a vocal solo by Prof. Durham accompanied at the piano by his daughter, and a ' reading by Miss Georgia Anderson, both of Logan. The affair was well attended and was a success both socially and otherwise. Youth and basket ball experience were somewhat in favor of Wellsville, the score being in favor of the visiting team. - The tickets were 50 cents, the hall was free and the silver players donated their services. We have nofbeen able to learn just what the, ladies cleared on this occasion, but we understand that they cleared the debt, and 29-1- 7 jpaid ctier expsue'es ayid Ji-jv- still a little left to their good, to be used in case of other em- ergencies.
