The truck was on Robinson Road, a narrow dirt road that runs parallel to U.S. 89. The driver, Napolean Mendez, Fayette, was traveling southbound on the dirt road when he pulled his truck over to the edge of the road to allow a northbound driver to move past him. According to Officer Brad Johnson of the Utah Highway Patrol, “When the other driver got past Mendez, he looked back in his rearview mirror, and the truck was no longer there.” When the shoulder broke free, the truck, owned by M&M gravel rolled once and Mendez was ejected. Salina EMTs responded to the scene and Mendez was transported to the Gunnison Valley Hospital with a shoulder pain and a bruised head. No citations were issued.
