He was born on May 28, 1947 to James Boyd Bills and Norma Jean Nielsen Bills. He married Margaret Lyman on March 24, 1967. Jim's greatest joys in life were to take his children and grandchildren hunting and riding four-wheelers. He also loved to go camping with his family and watching his grandkids play ball. He worked for Rancho Trailer as a foreman. He also was manager of Michael Mitten and Karen Mochel the Nephi 7-Eleven for 26 years. Jessen is a happy, friendly, and outgoing boy who has much enthusiasm for life. Jessen loves to run around outside. He loves animals and mimics their sounds. His proudest moments include-driving on the tractor with dad and going to see the bulls. Jessen loves to play wilh mom and dad and he always makes them smile and laugh. Selma and RECOGNITION Whitney Ericksen Joshua David Hveem Joshua David Hveem, son of David and Elizabeth Hveem of Ephraim, was awarded the rank of Eagle Scout at a Court of Honor at the Great Basin Environmental Education Center on July 1. For his Eagle project, Joshua built a reading center in the shape of a castle for the Ephraim Public Library. Joshua would like to thank all those who helped in this great endeavor, especially his family, friends, and Troop 524. YW like to invite all friends and family to attend. He was bom on March 15, 1935 to Dura Thorpe and Cannon Jensen in Axtell. He graduated from Gunnison Valley High School in 1953. In high school, Hal made the All-state basketball team. He went on to become an All-American at Snow College two years in a row. He was voted the most valuable player in the ICAC basketball tournament and his number 11 was retired by Snow College. While at Snow, Hal also played his saxophone in all die college musicals; how he loved music. Hal was proud to be a Snow College Badger and proudly attended all the home games last year. Hal attended BYU on a basketball scholarship and graduated in June of 1959. The Korean War cal led Hal into the service. He was so proud to be a veteran. He loved his country and politics and often drove his old Cadillac in the city Fourth of July parade. Hal proudly served as the commander of the American Legion post in Mt. Pleasant. After serving in the war, Hal took a teaching and coaching job at Randolph High School. He was there for three years. During that time he became the first coach to take the team to the state tournament. Ha] was called back to active duly and was stationed at Fort Louis, Washington. After his tour he moved to Springville where he coached basketball at Springville High School for seven years. Hal also coached at Colorado State University. After his career as a coach Hal was a very successful salesman for many years. He dearly loved his family and hosted many family parties. He was an excellent cook and always had something on the stove. He had many friends and Hal Barclay Jensen spent many happy days with them golfing, fishing, hunting, and swapping stones. Hal loved to dance and had a beautiful singing voice. He enjoyed decorating his home and caring for his beautiful yard. His presence was huge. He was deeply loved and will be missed by many. Hal was married to Renae Orton. They had a son. Randy, and were later divorced. He married Mary Almond, later divorced. He is survived by his brother, Don (Vonda) Jensen, Keams; sisters, Amoir Deuel and LaRae Johnson, Mt. Pleasant; Arvin Doreen McMullin, Salem; Bonnie Anderson, Salt Lake City; Zara (Devon) Peterson. Delta; "children," Randy, Rochelle, and Susan; and many nieces and nephews. The family thanks close friends, Mary Pat Hansen, Rosie Argyle and Home Health Care worker Kris Cropper. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 14 at 1 p.m. in the Mt. Pleasanl 4th LDS Ward Chapel at 55 S. State. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Rasmussen Mortuary, 96 N. 100 Westin ML Pleasant and Saturday from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Mt.
