My wife, Nyra, and I have four children who have attended South Sanpete schools. I have had 16 years of school board experience, including four consecutive years as president. During my time on the board, UEA statistics showed our teachers received the highest percentage increase in compensation packages of any Utah district. I graduated from USU with a degree in economics and worked 32 years for the USDA. I spoke to the legislature about concerns for our district. In addition, I was involved with a $20 million building project for our district and we did not raise taxes. The bottom line is I like kids and I want to see them succeed. I believe most children are gifted and talented in some way. I think it is important that students have a broad experience in school. They need to have a strong foundation in all areas of the curriculum as well as experience in extra curricular activities. Students need activities and facilities for healthy lifestyles. I volunteer regularly in the first grade and I will never feel that we play our teachers enough for thee contributions they make. — PAID POLITICAL AD — Vote RICK Rick Wheeler HOWE •S*H *E* R* I* F* F* House of Representatives Dist. 68 My #i goal is protect our families and our quality of life.
