Show Cyan Magenta Yellow Black A12 Sanpete Messenger/Gunnison Valley Edition Girls (Continued from A7) Canyon, Manti, and South Sevier by one. Millard’s losses are also to good teams. They dropped one to 3A Hurricane and all their other defeats are at the hands of Region 12 teams. They got smoked by North and South Sevier, lost to Gunnison by five and Richfield by four. Parowan lost by 20-plus points to Richfield, Gunnison and North Sevier and by four to Rowland Hall. Region 12—Starting at the bottom of the standings and moving up, this region is full of talent with the exception of Grand, which stands to finish without a win. They are not in the same class as the other six teams, but if someone shows up unprepared or unfocused, they could play the spoiler. North Sevier, with their 5-3 record, would be at or near the top of either of the other two regions. Paired with the competition in Region 12, they are bringing up the rear. Don’t expect them to stay there. The Wolves losses are at the hands of 3A Emery; Region 13 leader, Beaver; and Region 14 leader North Summit in overtime. Gunnison at 6-2 has a better record than anyone outside of Region 12, but they’re number five in Region 12 standings. The Bull- dogs lost by three to Piute and then by ten to Region 14 leader North Summit. Gunnison hasn’t lost a game since November, winning their last six in a row. They have defeated Parowan, South Summit and Millard. Due to the talent in Region 12, Gunnison is possibly the most underrated team in the state. South Sevier (6-1) will be another contender for the Region 12 crown. Their only loss to date came Mark McIff (8238) THE McIFF FIRM, P.C. 225 North 100 East Richfield, Utah 84701 Telephone: (435) 896-4461 Facsimile: (435) 896-5441 Attorneys for Petitioner IN THE SIXTH JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT OF SANPETE COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OFKODY CLIFTON NELSON, deceased. Against 3A Delta they pulled off a five point win and they edged Millard by four. The other teams they’ve played to date are non-contenders. Look for the Wildcats to finish in the middle of the pack in Region 12. Manti (8-0) joins Richfield as one of two undefeated 2-A teams in the state. Manti has a talented and experienced starting lineup and has had some first-class help from the bench. The Templars are ranked number one in the state and will remain there until someone takes it away from them. Even though post-season competition becomes a one-loss season, Region 12 should be favored to place four teams in the final four at the state tournament. Teams that should have a shot at the title, in no particular order, are Manti, South Sevier, Gunnison and North Sevier. Once they get to that point, it’s whichever team shows up and wants it the most. GUNNISON CITY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION PUBLIC NOTICE LEGAL, ATTORNEY NOTICES NOTICE TO CREDITORS at the hands of 3A Canyon View. They have defeated Dixie, Millard and Beaver. San Juan is also 6-1, but due to a schedule that includes a lot of non-Utah schools, they are a bit of an unknown. However, it is hard to beat San Juan in Blanding. They beat Rowland Hall by 22. The Broncos lost their season opener to Pedra Vista, N. M., and haven’t lost a game since. Richfield (8-0) hasn’t lost a Wednesday, December 27, 2006 Happy New Year! Dr. Bruce M.
