He will continue his education in physical therapy. James Butcher and Marion Butcher sanpetemessenger.com Marion Lucille Butcher, 79, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Nov. 28 at her home. Marion was born July17, 1927 to Marlin and Isabelle Victoria Peterson Burns in San Diego, Calif. She married James Stevenson Butcher in San Diego on July 20, 1946. They made their home in Mt. Pleasant. She loved the outdoors, fishing and hiking. She loved her dog Bronso and Dusty her cat. They kept her company in her later years. Marion joined the LDS church in 2004 where she was a very active member with many loving friends. Marion is survived by her two daughters, Marilyn Burrows Nielson-Latchford Rachel Anna Dettinger, the daughter of Greg and Shelley Dettinger of Manti, received her Young Women’s Recognition Award on Oct. 8, 2006. Some of her projects were to make modest clothing, learn to crochet, memorize 100 scripture masteries for seminary and to read the Book of Mormon. Rachel Anna Dettinger MISSIONS Owen Bougoure-Latchford and Ashley Nielson Homecoming Ashley Diane Nielson, the daughter of Clair and Kathy Nielson of Ephraim, and Owen Bougoure-Latchford, the son of Michael and Kerryn Latchford of Melbourne, Australia, will be married Dec. 9 at the Snow College Stake Center. She has been an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has served as Primary, Young Women and Relief Society President and councilor in the Stake Relief Society. She served as Primary teacher for over 20 years and has been a visiting teacher. She was chorister for many years in the Relief Society. She is presently a Relief Society supervisor. Erma loves to travel. She has been to Israel, New Zealand, Australia, Tahiti, Fiji, England, Italy, France and China. She has also traveled a lot within the United States. Erma also enjoys reading and does beautiful embroidery work. She crochets quilts and makes plastic canvas needlepoint projects. She loves sports, but her favorite is baseball.
