Joshua Orr and Darla Roberts and Frank and Bonnie Roberts are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Nichelle, to Joshua Ryan Orr of Washington, Washington County, the son of Jeff and Cari Orr, on April 21. A reception will be held that evening from 6:30-8:30 at Heritage Square at 2998 Santa Clara Dr., Santa Clara, Washington County. In case of inclement weather, the reception will be held at the Buena Vista Stake Center at 860 N. Fairway Dr., Washington City. Carolyn Rae Ross Chandler Bailey, 69, passed away April 2, 2006 in Logan, Utah. She was bom Jan. 26, 1937 to Nora Louise and George (Tex) Ross in Park City. She married Ivan Morton Chandler Oct. 14, 1955 and had two children, Keilh and Kim. Later, she was married and sealed to Reid Jewkes Bailey on Jan 10; 1975, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Music was a big love in her life. She sang with trios in high school, with her father's band "Tex Ross and the Rhythm Wranglers" and continued singing in church choirs and in duets with her husband, Reid, throughout her life. Carolyn was an active member of the LDS Church and served in the Young Women's program for many years. She loved handwork, especially crocheting, and was generous in sharing her talents and leaching others to enjoy them as well. Tyson will be speaking in the Fairvicw 1 st Ward on April 16 at 10:50 a.m. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ted Yowell, Mr. Terry Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Vaun Mickelsen. Wanda May Bjerregaard Peterson of Mayfield will turn 95 years old on April 14, 2006. She has lived most of her life in the Chrisiianburg and Mayfield areas, only leaving the valley briefly to herd sheep with her husband in Colorado. A birthday celebration for. Wanda was held on Saturday, April 8 the Mayfield Town Hall. Some 75 family members enjoyed dinner and a program at the event. Wanda's living children are Devon (Zara) Peterson, Delta; Stanford (Jean) Peterson, Mayfield; and Wanda Marie Hatton, Mayfield. Wanda's husband, Edgar, died in 1976. She has 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Wanda, along with her brother, Sheldon Bjerregaard, are May field's two oldest residents. Kenadee is a happy little girl and is always smiling. Kenadee is loved and adored by her whole family. Kenadee loves playing with her puppy and loves to gdt into anything and everything. Carolyn Rae Ross Chandler Bailey Ray P. Cox, devoted husband and loving father and grandfather, passed away peacefully, April 8, 2006, at his home in Manti. Ray was born Feb. 21,1916 in Manti to George B. Cox Jr. and Antoinette Madsen Cox. He married Dorothy Sorcnsen March 22, 1940 in the Manti Utah LDS Temple and together (hey raised five children. He spent his productive years farming and raising livestock on land that had belonged to the Cox family since the 1850s. He followed his father serving as president and board member of the Palisade Lake Co.. and served as secretary of the Manti Irrigation Co. He was a faithful servant in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as ward and stake Sunday School superintendent; ward clerk; bishopric member and bishop; stake high councilor; full-time missionary, with his wife, in the Roanoke Virginia Mission; name extraction worker; worker in the stake visitors center; Manti Temple ordinance worker, trainer, and sealer; counselor in the stake mission presidency; and as a home teacher for 66 years. He served in the Utah State Home Guard during World War II; was an active member of the Manti Chamber of Commerce; was a long-time member and President of the Manti Lion's Club; served on the Manti City Council; was involved in local and district political activity; was a member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers and Sanpete Historical Society. Ray's interest in.music was manifest at the early age of 11 years old. He participated in several male choruses, the Manti Stake Choir, (twice singing at LDS General Conference) and performed for 35 years in the annual 'The Messiah" Ray P. Cox production. Patriarch of his growing family, Ray participated in every blessing, baptism, scout advancement, school achievement, sport activity, missionary farewell or homecoming. He performed temple marriages for eight of his own grandchildren. Family camping reunions and excursions were frequent and varied. He enjoyed many worldwide travels with his wife and friends. Ray is survived by his wife, Dorothy; sister, Ruth Matthews, Grantsville; children, David (Kathy); Susan (Dan) Corcoran, both Manti; Margaret "'Peggy" (Gene) Castle, Antoinette lToni" (Rulon) Ebert, both Mesa, AZ; Loralie Cox, Logan; 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held today. Wednesday, April 12 at 11 a.m. at the Manti LDS Tabernacle at 96 S. Main. A viewing will be held today from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial in the Manti City Cemetery under the direction of Magleby Mortuary.
