Show County Locals. A meeting of the San Pete Church Teachers Institute was held in Eph-raim Eph-raim last Saturday afternoon, at which Prof. Maeser gave some gen eral instructions to the teachers, explaining ex-plaining the nature and reasons for these Ins'itutes. Louis Beecker, Esq., of Manti may frequently be seen gaaing on Ephraim's lovely maidens from the windows of the north-bound passenger, passen-ger, as the train speeds along, but in Louis' eye there is something more lovely, or at least more magnetic, mag-netic, in Mt. Pleasant, and so he passes us by. Apostle A. II. Lund lias ordered through Mr. J. B. Thompson from the North Pacific Consolidated Shingle Co., two carloads of Oregon Ore-gon Lumber, lath and Pickets, etc., a.id Washington Red Cedar Shingles. Shin-gles. The lumber will be shipped fiiitu-'Jacotua, Washington, on Puget Sound, to Ephraim. This is a good move and leserves success. Mr. Lund will also probably order 1 large j stock of Doors, Sash, Frames, Etc., ,j from Minneapolis. |
