Show The Tintic train on the Rio Grande Western was fired upon Saturday night near Goshen by some unknown persons, and a lady passenger, Mrs. II. T. Starten of Mammoth, was shot in the arm, but not seriously hurt. The train was moving along at a good speed, when suddenly a volley of shots poured into the coaches, but the darkness was so dense that the train crew could not discover who did the shooting. The next morn-ing, morn-ing, as the train was returning, a horseman was discovered chasing the train. lie was heavily armed and occasionally fired in the direction direc-tion of the train. It is supposed that he was the man who did the shooting the night before, and that he is a lunatic who imagined him-self him-self a desperado or a train robber. |
