CUBE STEAKS MEDIUM n AA" GRADE EGGS lb Mr. and Mrs. Herman Butt have just completed a monthlong trip through the southern states. One of their first stops was at the Carlsbad Caverns in N. M. They toured the cities of Austin and Houston. Texas and went on to Galveston for their first view of the Gulf of Mexico. They observed the huge oil processing plants and shipping ports of Port Arthur. They crossed the Mississippi at Baton Rouge, La. and visited historical French of New Orleans. Quarter wide Crossing the Lake Pont Chartrain they went on to Mobile, Ala., Gulfport and Biloxi, Miss. At Tampa, Fla. they visited Cyprus Garden and the Bok Tower, also the Peace Gardens near Lake Wales. They continued north through Florida and had a pleasant boat ride on the Swanee River. At White Springs, Fla., they visited the Stephen Foster memorial and museum. Throughout Florida they saw many hundreds of citrus acres of fruit orchards. In Georgia they were delighted with the vast acres of peach orchards, all neatly laid out and beautifully cared for. They crossed Tennessee from Chatanooga to Memphis and stopped in Little Rock, Ark. Their trip home also took them through Oklahoma. All in all, Mr. and Mrs. Butt visited 11 states and seven state capitals. Table decorations followed a western theme with miniature horses and horse show trophies centering the tables. Place cards had a picture of a horse-heaon them. Dave Birthday party held at Harvey home Miss Gayle BLANDING Harvey celebrated her eighth birthday last Thursday at a party given for her by her mother, Mrs. Colleen Harvey. Twelve girl friends attended to help Gayle celebrate the occasion. Games were played and refreshments were served by Mrs. Harvey. BOOK CLUB MEET8 The Blanding Ladies Book Club met Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Mary Hawkins for a discussion and refreshments. Mrs. Bartell will represent Eastern District in contest Mrs. Reta P; Bartell has been selected by the Federat-- I ed Womens Clubs to represent the Eastern District as a candidate for Utah Mother of the Year, according to Mrs. L. Frank Redd, chairman of the Eastern District Mother of the Year Selection Committee. She will compete with candidates from other districts throughout the state for the statewide honor. Mrs. Bartell, the wife of Leonard J. Bartell, was originally sponsored by the Rebus Rota club of Monticello. She 1 s throughout southeastern Utah as an education leader, church and civic worker. As a district winner, Mrs. Bartell will meet with candidates from other districts at a special Mother of the Year program In Salt Lake City in April. The person named Utah Mother of the Year at that time will participate in the national contest later in New York City.
