Attending the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Don Barton, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Barton, Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Lewis of Snowflake, Arizona, Mr. and Mrs. Clement Johnson and several close friends of the family, making a group of around 40 people in the wedding party. The ceremony took place on the Colemans wedding anniversary. Recently returning from a ten day trip to Southern California were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ramsay, their five sons, and their daughter, Delta, who had just returned from visiting her sister, Sheila, in Mountain Home, Idaho. The Ramsays visited Dan and Aleta Warren and two children in San Diego and also took in the wonders of Disneyland. Mary Alice Peterson of Alameda, California is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Shirley Ramsay and family. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Blake and son, John, recently made business trips to Salt Lake and Denver. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Blake arrived in Monticello recently from their winter home in Apache Junction, Arizona. They are again living in Rowleys Trailer Court. Good to see them around town. Connie Forrest of Glendale, Arizona visited last week in Monticello. She came especially for her friend, Beverys, wedding. Louise is getting along fine and looking forward to returning home to Monticello soon. Joe Lee, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Lee, has been enjoying a furlough from his U. S. Army base in Fort Gordon, Georgia. Joe will be going to Turkey after his leave. Monte Dalton, Bob Barton, DuVal King, Stephen Redd and friend, and Stan Purcell and friend enjoyed tubing and boating from Sand Island to Mexican Hat on the San Juan River last Sunday. Outside of turning from living color to rosy red and getting a bit chilled after the sun went down, the trip was great. Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Halls have been waging a battle with poison larkspur on their summer range in Cplorado. They have lost several head of cattle to the deceptively pretty blue flower. Mrs. Seraphine Frost has come from Mesa, Arizona to enjoy the summer months in Monticello. John and Dan Lee of American Fork visited her last week. On the 14th around 150 people gathered at Rose Park in Salt Lake City to honor Mr. A. B. Barton, who turned 90 earlier in the spring. All of Mr. Bartons living children were there with the exception of Bruce, who is in the service in Alaska, and Clara, who has been called (with her husband) on a Mission for the Church. There are descendants and relatives from Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, and California. There was a program, a feast, and a glorious day of visiting for everyone. Leota Brinkman attended the National Committee Meeting of the American Party in the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City June 19th to 21st.
