Show impressive funeral amner i al services for lynn hyde 0 by isabelle redd hundreds of friends and neigh bors crowded into the L D S chapel thursday afternoon fr for funeral sel services vices conducted for ray lynn hyde who died in the veterans hospital in salt lake city april 28 bishop L frank redd of the L D S church was in charge of 0 the services A ladies trio composed of mesdames eugene allred allied arch V bonon B on ondon on and ry V redd a accompanied com compa pan nied aed at the piano by mrs glen hansen hansan sang very beautifully the lords prayer the invocation followed by pres leland W redd A violin duet whispering hope was played by thom asell evans and arch va V bronson accompanied on the piano by mrs bronson F peter jones was the first speaker ile he paid fine tribute to lynn as a friend and neighbor whom he had known all his life both having grown to manhood in this community he spoke ot of lynn as a man of sympathy an honest man a man of faith fait h and high ideals he also said 4 i lynn was needed because he be was a valiant soldier once and still is hot concluded by exhorting the fam 1 ily to search the scriptures for therein comfort will be found chas redd paying tribute said he considered it an honor tobe e asked to speak on this occasion sion he spoke of lynn and nina typifying the highest type of family keeping beeping the environ continued on page thirteen impressive SERVICES 0 continued from page one ment or of their home lite one ot ol refinement and culture he spoke of lynn as a progressive and ambitious man and an unselfish one being a fine husband and a good f father ather even a good father to some who had lost their own father mr redd then made a plea that those who had received this care should continue in the way lynn had shown them for he had wanted them to be good fellows mrs julus bailey sang a solo absent ler her piano accompaniment being played by mrs alfred frost bishop L frank redd spoke of death bein being one of the important steps of life necessary that man may take on immortal life and said some fine things will come to the family if they do not weaken by the trials and temptations they must meet bishop bi I 1 shop redd spoke of lynns capacity to make friends especially among children and he mentioned that the audience that day was made up from people all over the county and many from afar the services were brought to a close with the ladies trio singing crossing the bar after the benediction offered by elder donald ona d evans services were continued at the grave side pallbearers Pall bearers were leland W redd james jaines H eagar lawrence black john christensen E leslie young and gilfrost Wil frost frost all veterans of the world war and members of bf the AmEt american rican legion A double mixed quartette sang at the grave side and as the casket e was lowered owe ed taps were sounded the prayer was offered by nephi cruser the floral offerings were beautiful add profuse as testimony of the high regard in which lynn is held |
