The colors of the hyacinth, deep blues and pinks echo the rich pastels of Easter eggs, make them ideal for decorating a table for Easter lunch. The fragrance of hyacinth can only be described as magical. St. Josephs Catholic Church was filled with the wonderful sounds and the scents of Eas- Spring never comes early enough to suit me. The Week many families and friends came to celebrate this special time of year at home. The family of Rex and Bemie Christensen gathered at Big Indian for a burger fry and some good visiting during Easter. Attending were Dennette Christensen, Stephany Cecil, Beth Wilcox, Dawn and Corey Johnson and Lisa and Stephen is, once the holidays are over, time seems to slow down. The cold, gray days plod at a snails pace toward Easter and the return of spring. At least they used to, until I could see little hyacinths peeping through the ground. Although lilies are traditionally associated with the Easter observance, the hyacinths get my vote as the perfect plant for Harris and we Great was born in St. George, Utah granddad Clyde is joy- on January 10 and . daughter Ben ful over the arrival of this the is of and wee one also. First, Mr. and Mrs. John Marriott and daughters Nicole, Elisha and Michelle of Plymouth, MD, then Mr. and Mrs. Keith Himmelberger from Layton. Nancy Burrell and Tauna Larson joined in welcoming all the visitors. Gaylon Headley and Rayma Purcell had a wonderful relaxing time in the sun at Rocky Point, Mexico. With a good rest they will eagerly welcome the summer visitors at the Cadillac Ranch RV Park in Bluff. At Rocky Point, they R.G. visited former Bluff-it- e Drummond, who manages an RV Park on the ocean beach. The late Roy Pearson used to spend a lot of winters there fishing and enjoying the sun with his friend, R.G. I received a nice card from Ann former Monticello-it- e (Barton) Mitchell of Mansfield, TX. She sends greetings to all her friends here and reports they are doing well and enjoy hearing all the happenings around here. So hint, hint, I could sure use some more news from interesting people. Our son Kirk, Jayleen and family came from Delta, Utah to visit. We joined with Kim, Denise, Jeremy, Staci and Ashley for an Easter picnic in Moki Canyon. They entertained us at our Cowboy Supper at the center with lots of good cowboy stories. The vittles were mighty tasty. Just because us seniors have snow on our roof-topwe still have smoke and heat in our chimneys, so some of you ought to try coming out and discovering what you are missing. Some upcoming events will be a trip through yesteryear down McElmo Canyon and a Senior Citizen pet show. I hope we all had a good Easter and will remember the true meaning of this holy holiday.
