A. Frost on their fiftieth wedding anniversary will be held Sunday, September 24, from two until nine oclock at the John D. Lewis home in Monticello. Their many friends are invited to attend. Clarence A. and Seraphine Smith were married October 4, 1911 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have lived all their married life in Monticello. The Frost have five children, Mrs. Lloyd L. Barton, C. Alfred Frost, Kent Frost, Mrs. John D. (Pearl) Lewis, Monticello; and Melvin Frost, Gainesville, Fla. They have 31 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren. Mr. Frost was born in Snowflake, Ariz., January 14, 1891, a son of William. A. and Amelia Frost. He moved to Monticello in 1906. Mrs. Frost was born August 19, 1891 in Snowflake, a daughter of Silas D. and Ellen Larsen Smith. (Will-iameli- Mr. and Mrs. a) Frost have spent much of their married life as missionaries for the Church of Saints. Parents of the newlyweds are Mr. and Mrs. Francis DeVries of La Sal and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Denton of Lama, Colo. The bride wore a ballerina length gown of white nylon chiffon over taffeta with lace bodice and matching bolero. She was given in marriage by her father. Last gun safety youth class scheduled for next week Youth under the age of 21 who contemplate purchasing a hunting license this year were reminded this week by Utah State Game and. Fish Conservation Officer Cecil Jones that it will be necessary to present a certificate of competency to the license clerk before a license will be issued. The certificate of competency, issued on successful completion of a gun safety course, is necessary for those youth under 21 ivho have not purchased a license in previous years. To enable youthful hunters to obtain the necessary certificate a gun safety class has been scheduled for Sept. 27, 28 and 29 at Monticello High school. Instructors for the class, to be conducted from 7 to 9:30 p.m. each evening during the three day session, will be Allan Laidlaw and Vaun Mick-elsoGun safety and the use of firearms will be taken up in the n. Although the range course will only take one morning, the individuals will be rated quite highly on their practical application of gun handling. A fee of $1 will be charged each youth taking the course to help defray the expense involved in the instruction. Since this will be the last course to be held this year all youth who do plan to obtain a license are urged to attend these classes.
