Maughan has announced that Mrs. Thomas Davis will replace Mrs. LaRaine Redd at Monticello High school with the beginning of the spring quarter. Mrs. Davis is a graduate of Baylor university, Waco, Texas, where she received the Bachelor of Arts degree in June, 1959. Her major courses of study were English, education, journalism, and German. She holds a permanent Texas teaching certificate. Mrs. Davis is a memeber of Sig-- a Tau Delta, national English fraternity, and Theta Sigma Phi, national fraternity for women in journalism. The Davises have been residents of Monticello since September. Mr. Davis is employed by Sinclair Research Lab. Inc. Adult education classes will get underway here March 22 at the Monticello High school. Subjects offered were determined by a sur4 conducted by the PTA. Officer Adair reports unlicensed dogs are still being picked up in the city, and because of the problems involved in catching these stray animals owners will be charged hereafter with violation of city ordinance for keeping unlicensed dogs in the city and will have to appear in court.
