Show New principal at Whitehorse High Lyman Grover was hired as the new principal of Whitehorse High School by the San Juan School Board at the June 19 board Robert Langston received bachelor of arts degrees in education and history at June graduation exercises at Southern Utah University. Langston is a 1980 graduate of Monticello High and 1992 graduate of the College of Eastern Utah - San Juan Campus. He teaches U.S. and world history at Milford High School, where he will be head football coach and assistant basketball coach this fall. Langston is a son of Polly and the late Gene T. Langston, of Monticello. Softball tourney in Blanding The opening event of the Blanding Fourth of July celebration is a softball tournament June 30 and July 1. Play begins Friday evening at the ball Fields near San Juan High School. The tournament is sponsored by San Juan High School boys athletics and supported by Blue Mountain Chiropractic. Dr. Rhett Maughan is organizing the tournament. Proceeds will benefit the boys athletic programs at San Juan High.
