Show mrs benjamin black passes suddenly mrs alice baldwin black was taken ill tuesday evening of last week at her home in blanding medical aid was summoned and although she was not considered in any danger she suddenly passed out of life apparently in goad health mrs black carried on her usual rutine routine of duties up to within a few hours of her death the first sign of any disability taking the form of a nosebleed her daughter and son in law who live close by and dr bayles were with mrs black at the time of her passing which came without warning while they were were talking together mrs black sitting in a chair and taking part in the conversation funeral services were held on friday afternoon at the church the opening song kind words are sweet tones of the heart was sung by the choir and was chosen in loving tribute to mrs black because of the manner in which she lived in her community for the past 35 years opening prayer by justin black was followed by a talk by b sylvester bradford another tribute in the form of a vocal solo by aaron harvey accompanied by mrs margie lyman was that wonderful mother of mine A talk by grant bayles was followed by a violin duet by allie ailie redd and hyrum porter accompanied by mamie adams then president leland W redd spoke A vocal duet by josephine bayles and aaron harvey was followed by a talk by dave black with the closing prayer by hyrum black burial was made in the blanding cemetery morley L black dedicating the grave the many floral tributes were also evidence of the esteem and love which mrs black so richly deserved all of cf her nine remaining children were in attendance at the funeral as were her two brothers and two sisters mrs black was preceded in death by her husband benjamin black who passed on only four months ago alice baldwin was born in 18 ga and was married to benjamin i black when she was 17 years of rage age they came to blanding in 10 1910 and reared their family of I 1 eleven children there nine of I 1 whom are still living they are zenos L black mrs martha carroll and mrs larene sheppard of blanding clarence black monticello joe black phoenix ariz chauncey black fort collins colorado mrs frank kartchner of salt lake city mrs C S grow ogden and ernest black of montezuma two brothers and two sisters and 45 grandchildren also mourn her passing the sisters are mrs oscar johnson of blanding and miss lisa baldwin brothers are jim baldwin of monroe and george baldwin of panguitch |
