It's known as the Ten O'clock Whistle, a siren located on top of City Hall, which for the past 40 years has been sounded every night at 10 p m It s an old tradition, says Park City Manager Wayne Matthews. No one seems quite certain how the tradition started, but Mr. Matthews says for many years the whistle sounded at 10 p m. to warn youngsters it was time to go home. He says that curfew law probably is still on the on the city books, but the number of teen-agestreets after 10 p m. would indicate its not being taken too seriously by Park City's youth. say the Whistle's significance dates back to the turn of the century and is firmly rooted in this towns rich mining history When the mines were tn their heyday, several of them had whistles that were sounded at the end of the miners shifts. rs Hospital, checks intensive care Graveside died i Julie Asay, associate director of nursing at Utah Valley grandchildren. and Sarah.
