' Definite reports as to the spread cf the ! disease among the civilian population were lacking tonight. Dispatches received re-ceived by the public health service, however, how-ever, told of little abatement of the epidemic in most states. The stringent measures being taken, it was said, soon should show re suits. Camp Taj lor. Ky., with 1,"S new cases, reported the greatest spread of influenza in the twenty-four hours ending at noon today; the Kentucky c:'.mp also reported 26$ new cases of pneumonia, and forty deaths have occurred.
