Mrs. Ransford Tor-gensen Tor-gensen left Wednesday for Camp Lewis to spend the holidays with her husband. I f ST. ANTHONY, Idaho, Dec. 22. Mes-dames Mes-dames James Fredrlckson and S. F. Gil-man Gil-man entertained the ladies and their husbands hus-bands of the local chapter of the P. E. O., Friday evening of last week, at tfce home of Mrs. Fredrickson. The evening was spent in playing cards. Mrs. Ira W. Moore entertained the Tuesday Evening Bridge club this week. Mrs. H. C. Yager won the club trophy. The club decided to postpone their meeting until the Tuesday after New Year's. Mrs. F. Grude left Wednesday to spend the Christmas holidays with her son, Fred, at Camp Kearny, Cal. She has been visiting her son, Sam, and family for the past month. Tiie pupils of the high school held a Christmas party in the gymnasium of the building Friday evening. Dancing was enjoyed until a late hour. Light refreshments refresh-ments were served. The hall was decorated deco-rated in Christmas colors. The Red Cross Christmas membership campaign opened Saturday of last week. Six young ladies pressed in nurses' costumes cos-tumes patrolled the business district and a goodly number of new members was the result. The city has been so well canvassed can-vassed that it is rather hard to find new members. The Jolly Matrons' Crochet club has discontinued its meetings until after the holidays. Mr. and Mrs.0. M. Winkler returned Saturday of last week from Seat tie, Wash... and Salem. Ore. They visited their son at Seattle, who is in the service of Uncle Sam. and at Saiem they were the guests of Dr. Morefield and wife. The ladies of the city are taking up a collection for the Armenians. A goodly good-ly sum has lcen realized.
