Prominent amon the week's events was the ball given Thursday Thurs-day evening bv the A. C. Woman's elub at the pavilion. The event was given to assist in raising funds to aid the Red Cross society and was a most delightful success, both socially a nd financially. The decorations were most effectively carried out in keeping ith the idea. ' Large American fhtgy, alterna ting with flag3 of all the nations and the K.e.d Cross emblems, gave the hall a most attractive at-tractive appearance. Tho music was furnished hy an excellent orchestra, and a delightful feature of the entertainment was the featuring of a number of the new dances by C. W. Bechtol of Salt Lake, which were much enjoyed by the large number of guests present. The party was in every respect a most pieas-Inj? pieas-Inj? success, and a neat little sum will be turned over to the Red Cross fund in i Salt Lake. The guests all came in fancy costumes and the evening was enjoyed in ell kinds of Halloween pranks and later a typical Halloween supper was served.
