ALTHOUGH it is o&ly six weeks past the holiday time, already the forehanded ones axe looking toward to-ward the advent of spring. The members mem-bers of the Counnry club, at least a portion thereof, met during the week and unanimously elected the old board of directors from whose number will be chosen tho new omcors for tho cro-sxdng cro-sxdng year. The directors elected are George A. Steinor, J. T. Gilmer, S. B. Neelt F. E. McGurrin and R. C. Gem-melL Gem-melL The first named will probably be elected president again this year. The old place will bo put in shape for an early opening this year, as it was found laat year that tho members appreciated ap-preciated the club more in tho spring than even in tho surnmor, when as a rule many of the members have fled to th.o seashore or to the mountains. A PARTY of youug people enjoyed the play at tho Salt Lake theater thea-ter Friday evening together with a supper at the Louvre following, the affair being in honor of F. E. Moore, A MERRY party of about a ncore of friends went down to the Country club last evening, reviving the spirit of tho suairacr Saturday nights, and enjoyed a delightful dancing affair af-fair with a picnic supper following. The big grates were filled with cheery i fires and tho placo was giveu an air 1 of comfort. A good orchestra fur nished dance music and the few hour3 were spent pleasantly. MISS HOPE PARKER and Miss-Mar.iorie Miss-Mar.iorie Billings entertained a party of nearly thirty young friends Friday evening at a Valentine danco at the F. L. Parker home on South Temple street. The large rooms were all cleared for. the young people, and after a few hours of dancing a delicious de-licious supper was served.
