In speaking of the formal opening and the possibility of a change, Joseph Geoghegan, president of the operating company, said Saturday: "Any change in those plans will depend de-pend entirely on tho work of the doco-j doco-j rators. who aro working' day and night to complete their work. "They have promised to have everything in readiness readi-ness before tho appointed date, and we expect the opening to bo held ag scheduled. We have, however, met with so many disappointments that we are hesitnnt about announcing a definite date, so far in the future. But we hope that Ave can hold the opening on that date, and will proceed with the arrangements with that object in view. "The details of tho programme for the opening day have not yet been completed. Tho present arrangement is to have a big dinner in tho grill room on the ooening night, which will, of course, be accompanied by an appropriate ap-propriate programme of speeches and musical numbers." |
