Lieut, I ' Eduord A- Schaxrcr of Stuttgart, Germany, Ger-many, an officer of tho German army, and Miss Wllhclmina Biifich, daughter of Adolphus Busch, the St. Louis brewer and multi-millionaire, were married at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon at tho Church of tho Angels, just outsldo of this city. Rev. Mr. Runklc. rector of tho church, conducted tho regular Episcopal service, and Right Rev. Joseph II. Johnson, bishop of Los Angeles, blessed tho couple. A reception re-ception followed at the Busch winter residence. resi-dence. , , I At the altar the bride was attended only by her niece, Lilly Magnus of Chicago. Chi-cago. Whito Satin Gown. Tho bride's gown was made of soft white satin, trimmed with rare old Brussels Brus-sels point lace, a family heirloom preserved pre-served for years for thlH occasion. A long whlto veil, a necklace of magnificent magnifi-cent pearls and a cluster of Easter lilies helped complete the costume. The floral decorations made up an effect beautiful In the extreme, composed as they were or hundreds of potted palms and ferns, miles of smllax and thousands of snowy lilies and marguerites. The Wedding Guests. Tho woddlng guests were limited to fifty, most of them friends of the family. Those from out of town were: Mr and- Mrs. Drummond. Mr. and Mrs. Davis. Mrs. W. II Scudder, Mrs. C. Mrs John Busch and Miss Lilly Busch of Washington; Mr. Blattmachcr of New York. In th' private car Adolphus. Lieut, and Mrs. Scharrcr will leave Los Angeles early Sunday morning. Their first destination will bo St. Louis, which they will reach about March 16, after numerous stops along the way, and where they will prepare for a trip to I Europe. |
