It will be ladies' niht at the Bonneville club dinner which will be held at the Hotel Ho-tel Utah next Tuesday evening. Bach member of the club will be expected to bring with him his wife or some other lady. The truest of honor at the dinner will be Frederick C. Howe, commissioner of immigration im-migration at the port of New York since 1914. Mr. Howe's subject will be "Standing "Stand-ing at the Gate of Ellis Island.' United States District Attorney W. TV. Ray will be toastmaster. While it was intended to have, made the dinner the last of the series, the decision de-cision was changed by the board of governors gov-ernors yesterday because of the fact tliat the dinner for' Admiral Peaj-y follows within a few days, leaving too little time for comoleting preliminaries of a new series. se-ries. Also, the club has on hand considerably consid-erably more than enough money for tooth dinners. In order to give a greater number of the people who desire to hear Admiral Peary an opportunity to do so, it wag decided de-cided that st this dinner each member be permitted to bring a city male guest without charge. The election of three new governors will be held at the Peary dinner. |
