Show FORMER MAYOR OF BRIGHAM IS DEAD Special to The Tribune. BRIGHAM CITY, Feb. 17. Heber Coleman Cole-man Boden died at his home here at 6 o'clock this morning. lie suffered a paralytic par-alytic stroke about a year ago. and while he partially recovered from the effects, he was taken ill some weeks ago and sank rapidly. Mr. Bodcn was born in Aberdeen, Aber-deen, Wales. October 20, 1855. He was the son of Jarns and Ann Coleman Boden, joined the Mormon church In 1S6S, and with his parents emigrated to Utah, crossing cross-ing the plains in an ox-driven outfit. Mr. Boden was one of the most prominent prom-inent men in this county. In early days he helped build the Utah Northern railroad rail-road when that line was extended north of Ogden. Later he went to Dillon. Mont., where he served several years as road-master road-master for the road. Returning to Brig-ham, Brig-ham, he was appointed foreman of the section crew at this station. Boden was active In church and political organizations organiza-tions for many years, having served as city marshal some years ago, and later two terms as mavor of Brijjham City. The following children and a widow survive sur-vive the deceased: H. Wallace Boden of Salt Lake. Mrs. A. W. Ensign of Logan, Mrs. David O. Stohl and Mrs. Orvtl D. Lund of Brlgham City. Fourteen grandchildren grand-children also survive him. Funeral services will be held in the Second Sec-ond ward meeting house Sunday afternoon after-noon at 2 o'clock and interment will be in the City cemetery. |
