Show DESCENDANTS PLAN TO HOIffi PIONEER Will Observe Centenary of Birth of Late William H Folsom For the purpose of observing the ce tenary of the birth of William H Fol som the descendants of that noted Utah p oneer will meet next Thursday night at the res dence of the eldest son lly run P Fo som o3 South Third i.ast street There are nearly 200 of these de scendants living In Salt Lake City while a few reside in the ilclnlty of Cardston Canada Ivot only was William H. Folsom re nowned In Utah but h s work in th s state and terr torj attracted world wide attent on He was bu der of the Salt Lake tabernacle the Sa t Lake theater the Mantl and St George temp es the Pro o tabernacle and theater and tl e tabernacle at Moroni Sanpete county side from tl e fact that Mr Folsom became prom nent on account of h s work I ere In Utah his ancestors achieved d s t net on in the early settlement of New Kngland by the o d Puritan stock. It was on April 6 1638 that a party of em grants sailed from the mouth of the Thames river Bng and in the ship Dill gent of Ipswich, of JS50 tons burden and John Mart n as mSster The companj cods sted of nineteen families and six or eight s ngle persons 133 in all The im migrants landed at Boston, Mass.
