Bridge, always a popular diversion, i most ircquentiy brought into roqnitd-t:ou, roqnitd-t:ou, and paid bridge parties are more numerous than purely social ones. Groups of women play cards many afternoons aft-ernoons in Salt Lake society to swell funds fur philanthropy And even to eon tribute to the needs of churches. Often large paid bridgo functions are given, and never fail to be successful. Two are planned for the coining week, one on Thursday evening at the mammoth mam-moth Auditorium on Richards street, under the auspices of the Mothers' eon-gress eon-gress for the benefit of Halloek Hall, an apart ir.ent house where unmarried women and widows can live at reasonable reason-able rates.
