When it comes to work dothes a whole lot! Each year, thousands of factory, farm and. office workers suffer accidental injury from fire, heat and chemical bums. At best, the results of such injuries are pain, discomfort and medical expense. At worst, they can prove fatal. One bitter irony about these injuries is that many of them could have been prevented or minimized if special protective dothing had been worn on the job. Even more ironically, though such safety apparel has been available to business and industry for years, workers continually resisted their use because were uncomfortable. they Today, however, no worker has to sacrifice safety for comfort. Work dothing like that shown above, made of DuPonts Nomex, protects the wearer from flame, heat and chemicals. Yet they have the look and fed of conventional dothes. Besides resisting flame, heat and chemicals, these garments outlast others by six to 15 times. All of which promises tar fulfill the need for uniform safety on the job. . 6. gov-eranc- e. Workshops and speakers will fill most of the conference activities, with .special plenary sessions to allow delegates to bring before the general assembly and proposals that might be useful to future direction of community and junior colleges.
