Show Meet Your County Democratic Leaders William A. Wayman, Jr., Cache County chairman of the Democratic Party, feels that to secure a Democratic victory in November, No-vember, the party , "Must play up and never shut up Chloe F. Her .civic activities extend from politics to include active work in the Church of Jesus Chirst of Latter-day Saints, activity ac-tivity and speech programs, the American Legion Auxiliary and the 4-H Club. Born in Beaver Oct. 16, 1911, she is the wife of Lee R. Fillmore, Fill-more, and his six daughters, Gay, Jane, Ann, Betsy, Ruth and Kay-lee. Kay-lee. In Beaver County, she believes that the Democratic building program must come from the young voting population by way Mr. Wayman on any Republican Repub-lican weakness, i.e., Sherman Adams." Elected chairman in 1956 and again in 1958, Mr. Wayman has been chairman of the Cache County Young Democrats. "Let's get our party 'in' and stop this depression," she says. "There is nothing worse that not enough employment." As her hobbies, she lists three sons and a husband first, her home second, and boating a lagging lag-ging third. 1 A housewife, she is also part-time part-time secretary of the Creditor's Rating Bureau in Brigham City. She has three sons, Frank, 10; Russell, 8; and Jeffrey John, 5. She was born Dec. 26, 1925, in Bingham Canyon. "This is my first year at being quite this active in local, county and state politics," she notes. "I am very pleased at the opportunity, opportu-nity, as I feel very deeply about the welfare of our nation, and my husband and I would like to be able to give our sons a happy home, education and religious background, as well as an awareness aware-ness that they must share in the responsibility of politics for the welfare of our country." of an education program. "The truth," she states, "if presented without slander to anyone, should do much to elect our party this year." He was born Nov. 14, 1920, in Logan. Lo-gan. He is employed as assistant cashier of the First National Bank of Logan. She has never held public office and is primarily interested in the education edu-cation field since her civic activity ac-tivity is with the Friends of the Library. She would promote the slogan "The Party for You, Not Just the Few." She feels the Republicans have neglected education. Mrs. Harris enjoys reading, eravelling and most sports. She is librarian of the South Cache High School and the mother of three sons, Lt. James Harris, jet pilot instructor at Williams Air Force base; Kent Harris, quarterback quarter-back on the USU football team and a recent graduate from Stanford Stan-ford University; and Lt. Roger L. Harris, with the guided missiles mis-siles program at Fort Bliss. She has four grandchildren. Mrs. Harris is affiliated with Delta Kappa Gamma, American Assn. for University Women and various committees in library work in the state. i |
