Show pny mnd the Porker. An El Dorado Springs (Mo.) correspondent corre-spondent tells of a singular attachment between a Berkshire pig and a kitten. Both animals fed from the same trough, and appeared to take delight in helping each other. During the winter.when the kitten's feet got cold, kitty would hunt uo oie-v.now and then giving a loud mec-w7upon hearing which the porker would answer with a friendly grunt. Pussy, in finding its friend, would take the nearest route for the hog s back, generally gen-erally climbing up its long snout. During cold nights kitty slept on the pig-stack, and in the morning would be found in the same convenient place nd-ing nd-ing to the barn, about a furlong dirtant, wfere puss caught mice. an amusing sight to see piggy wadrng through deep snow with the cat (toes Smed in) on its back, evidently as comfortable com-fortable as a queen in her carriage and four.-St. Louis Globe-Democrat. |
