Show TIIK MILFOKU STATION. Appointment of VV. J. Itlild to be Agent-John Agent-John II. Dewey to Succeed Him. W. J. Ridd, of the tracing department of the Union Pacific, has received hie appointment to be the company's agent at Milford, Utah. Mr. Ridd has been with tho Union Pacific a number of years, first as telegraph operator on the Oregon Short Line when that branch was in process of construction, and later la-ter in the Salt Lake office in the same capacity and afterwards in the tracing department, covering a period of two and half years' service in this city. Mr. Ridd is a young man who has worked himself upward by his industry, enpacity and steadiness, and is worthy of the confidence exhibited in him by this promotion. Milford will be a very important point in tho company's com-pany's system, ns it will bo a transfer station for both northern nnd southern Utah for trallic coming from the Pacific coast and Arizona. Mr. Ridd will be succeeded at his doek in the Union Pacific's Salt Lake ollice by John H. Dewey, lately an assistant in the Rock Island's general oflicu in this city. |
