Show Death Claims Roy Democrat William Amasa Baker died at the age of 54 of a heart attack, Wednesday, May 5, at his home in Roy, Utah. At the time of his death he was Chief of Police, a position he held since January, 1955. He was one of Roy's most outstanding out-standing citizens. He was on the town board for eight years, had served as city treasurer, was a member of the fire department, deputy sheriff, and worked for the U. S. Department of Agriculture. Agri-culture. He was a member of the Utah Peace Officer Association. Associa-tion. He was an elder in the LDS First Ward. Mr. Baker was loved and respected re-spected for his work with the juveniles, never too busy to give a helping hand where it was needed. |
