Show AMUSEMENTS. Abbott was too ill to appear in "Tro-atore" "Tro-atore" last night, and her part was assumed by Mist Kmma Nroderick. Abbott is a plucky little woman, and had her physician not positively forbidden for-bidden it, would have tried to go through with her part. The audience was difappointed, but Miss Broderick acquitted herself most cn-ditably. She has a ringing soprano voice and a pleasing pleas-ing manner, and in fact made quite a hit. The big feature of the production was again l'ruette, who sang in masterly mas-terly style and gave the great music of the barytone part, notably "The Tempest Tem-pest of the Heart." Tonight the "Masked Ball," with Miss liroderiuk. |
