Show The stock market this morning showed a decided Improvement. Trading was brisk and the transactions went close to the $20,000 mark. May Day fell off a cent, owing to the failure of the new crowd to land the control at, the meeting yesterday, and a total of 8000 shares were thrown on the market at figures ranging rang-ing downward from 18 cents to 18. Nework recovered the 23 mark, selling 2300 shares. Sacramento also brought better figures' today, releasing 1000 at 26. 600 at 26 and 4000 at 26.,. . Daly West and Daly-Judge held at tfelr usual figures, the former selling 290 shares at prices between $42.80 and $42.70. Comstock opened at $1.47 on the curb, but jumped to $1.50 on the third sale. Mont. Tonopah was likewise strong, selling 600 at 93 and 200 at 93. Wabash got $1 cents for 600 shares and Yankee parted with 100 at 40. . The shareholders of the Sunrise Mining Mi-ning company met in annual session yesterday afternoon and. heard Manager Mana-ger Lochwlts's report. The report shows that. 1000 feet of development has been done In the tunnels and drifts during the year, and that bodies of ore showing as high ss $12 and $20 per ton have been encountered. The regular reg-ular $108,000 was posted yesterday. The surplus is now nearing the $300,000 mark. " UTAH MINE BE POETS WITH A S3000 LOT OF ORE. The belated car of Utah ore reached the local market last night. The assay returns on the lot of thirty-five tons show 102 ounces silver and SO per cent lead, for which the management will draw down approximately $3000. The car had been delayed a long time owing to bad roads, and it Is understood that this delsy was responsible for the passing pass-ing by of the March dividend. . .
