Show CANDIDATE NAMED BY .035149 OF A VOTE MARSHALL, Texas, Aug. 6. As showing the possibilities of the Texas election law, William Fuxth is nominated nomi-nated for the Legislature from the counties of Marion and Harrison by .035149 of a convention vote. It is beheved he has the narrowest majority major-ity of any candidate who was successful. success-ful. The floterial district is composed of Harrison and Marion counties, is close and presents an interesting problem ia mathematics and in politics. In Harrison county Furth received 779 votet in the primary, Wilson 826, a majority of 150. Harrison eounty has two convention votes. In Marion county Wilson received 125 votes and Furth 102, a majority of 65. Marion eounty has only one convention vote. Furth claims that he has received a popular vote entitling him to 1.611464 of tbe convention vote against L482315 for "Wilson, which gives him a majority major-ity of .035149 of the three convention' votes in the district convention.
