Show GOULD PRESIDENT OF WABASH RAILROAD NEW YORK. Aug. 23.-George J. Gould was elected acting president of the Wabash Wa-bash railroad by the board of directors before he sailed recently for Europe, says the Herald. News of his election to succeed suc-ceed Joseph Ramsey was obtained only yesterday, when It was stated that on his return Mr. Gould will become president of the Wabash system. j Mr. Gould Is the present head of the Missouri Pacific, but his election to the presidency of the Wabash is hot regarded as an indication that he will head all of the Gould line. Edward T. Jeffery will it. is understood, remain president of the Denver & Rio Grande and the Western Pacific. |
